West End festival which has ramped up from last year set to return

A festival will be offering fun for all the family when it runs in the West End later this year.

Big Feed in the Park x Melting Pot returns offering daytime family fun or late-night disco fever.

The event will cover the September weekend of 28 and 29 with a blend of food, drink, children's activities, and mischief at the iconic Kelvin Way and Bandstand.

Daytime sessions are slated for 11am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, with evening entertainment starting from 5pm on Saturday.

Highlighting the family portion of the event are Rainbow Twisters and Dream Team Kids who promise live performances, balloon twisting, interactive dance acts, guest performers, a kids' disco, and spray-on temporary tattoos.

These activities have been rolled into the ticket price ensuring families can fully enjoy without breaking the bank.

The other half of the event is a gastronomic tour, offering a wide selection of mouthwatering street food, a beautifully curated makers market, and an expansive choice of drinks.

Joe Aitken, of Big Feed, said: "We’re really excited to return to one of Scotland’s most iconic venues – we’re the first people to be allowed to use the Kelvin Way itself as a venue, rather than just the Bandstand."

He further acknowledged the support of their partners.

Joe believes this collaboration enables them to deliver high-quality events, entertainment, and tantalizing food and drink offerings to locals and visitors.

Fellow Big Feed leader Jonathan Stipanovsky revealed a more expansive plan this time.

Jonathan said: "We have ramped up everything from last year – it’s all doubled up so we have incredible traders and so much for the kids."

The festival initially launched last year and was an immense success.

Thus, its return is eagerly anticipated and has already generated a significant buzz.

Mark MacKechnie of Melting Pot is thrilled by the prospect of this year's entertainment courtesy of Craig Charles.

Mark said: "Craig is the perfect artist to top the bill of our disco extravaganza – just the right mood."

On the entertainment side, Caitlin of Dream Team Kids said: "We’re super excited to bring our first-ever live show to Big Feed in the Park!"

Sammy of Rainbow Twisters said: "It’s great to be coming back for the second year running with even more fun for all."

The Big Feed daytime session will run from 11am to 4pm, with a brief pause before the late-night Melting Pot begins at 5pm.

Daytime charges are £12 for adults, £8 for children, or free for "babes in arms", with the price inclusive of all the fun-filled activities.

Meanwhile, the Melting Pot’s Saturday night fun runs from 5 to 10pm priced at £25, with the last entry at 7pm.
