Four in a Bed came to a conclusion on Friday, April 26, after four sets of holiday hosts from across Wales gave one another their honest feedback. This week on the Channel 4 programme, hosts from Rosaire Guest House in Llandudno, The Queens Hotel in Harlech, The Mill at Glynhir, and Hideaway Escapes in Pembrokeshire, opened their doors to one another.

However, when the four sets of hosts came together for the final instalment of the competition, which is called Payment Day, one duo was missing from the line-up. Sisters Lesley and Sarah, who are behind the glamping site Hideaway Escapes, were forced to miss the last episode due to illness.

Explaining their absence, the Four in a Bed voiceover said: "It's the final day of the competition to be named best value place of the week. The rival hosts are meeting one last time to find out what they've been paid and settle some scores.

"However, with Lesley and Sarah from Hideaway Escapes unable to finish the competition due to illness, it leaves just three couples battling it out for the prestigious plaque." Lesley and Sarah were due to host the final visit of the week but both fell ill and couldn't attend to their guests.

Instead, Sarah's husband welcomed them and showed them to their pods. However, while the rooms seemed satisfactory to their rival hosts at first thanks to stunning views and a variety of snacks, upon closer inspection, Mat and Helen were dissatisfied with the cleanliness of their room, finding earwigs in the sink.

They were moved to another pod, but the issues persisted, with the pair opting to sleep in their car. You can read more on this here.

Despite not being able to attend Payment Day due to illness, following their recovery, Lesley and Sarah still wanted their voices heard. Speaking to the camera, they said: "Overall the feeback that we recieved has been very disappointing, they all had things to say but if you look at what we do actually offer it's second to none and I just don't know what more they wanted from us."

The sisters continued: "It became apparent to us that glamping wasn't for the other couples, to sleep in your car in preference to a really comfortable bed with brand new bedding on it is just outrageous." Lesley added: "I wanted to share this place with people and to have them come and enjoy it as well, and everyone who has come here has enjoyed it and has seen how special it is and how magical it is, it's so unfortunate that we didn't get that opportunity to put that across to our guests.

"I definitely feel had we played an active part in the competition, it might have been more difficult for them to be so blunt." Back at Payment Day the rival guests also discussed Lesley and Sarah's absence.

The group agreed it was a shame they weren't there for their own visit and said they had the potential to produce "magic" as they wished them well. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
